不熟1980～1990年代重金屬樂的人聽到此曲的MV
搞不好還會誤以為這是啥專唱軟調鄉村音樂的二重唱團體
這是1986年成軍於Boston的樂團Extreme
在1991年得到billboard的冠軍單曲「More Than Words」
Extreme是1980年代重金屬樂復興狂潮中相當有實力的樂團
他們的樂風除重金屬主調外還包含了：funk、Rap、 Folk、Jazz、Blues等
吉他手 Nuno Bettencourt無疑的是該團的靈魂人物
該團的創作絕大多數都由他獨立製作完成的
樂團的其他成員：Gray Cherone（vocals）, Patrick Badger (bass), Paul Geary (drums)
「Extreme」於1989年推出了首張同名專輯
「Extreme」一反許多重金屬團慣用的桀傲不遜的舞台風格
如～不修邊幅的外型、口吐髒話、在舞臺上叼煙、摔吉他等乖張舉止
Extreme則專注在他們的創作上堅持走自己的路
並沒有譁眾取寵的向樂迷示好或媚俗的向主流傳媒靠攏
「Extreme」於1990年推出經典之作《Pornograffitti》
這張專輯曲風更多元
有些曲子例如充滿懷舊風格的鋼琴抒情曲「When I First Kiss You」
甚至讓人無法相信竟是由重金屬樂隊所演唱
在《Pornograffitti》專輯中
Nuno Bettencourt的吉他造詣更如神速般精進更讓人眼睛一亮
此張專輯最紅的曲子莫過於「More Than Words」
本曲在1991年3月23日獲得 Billboard 單曲榜的榜首，
進而帶動了專輯的銷量（最終銷量超過300萬張）
MV拍攝的非常有味道
當bass 手Patrick Badger關上音箱放下bass；鼓手Paul Geary放下鼓棒
「More Than Words」的民謠吉他前奏隨即揚起
整首曲子只有民謠吉他伴奏
Nuno Bettencourt把民謠吉他切旋技巧用得恰如其分
主唱Gray Cherone感性渾厚的嗓音與Nuno Bettencourt的合音
將簡單的旋律如畫龍點睛般的豐富有層次起來
「More Than Words」可算是當時西洋樂壇「不插電（Unplugged）」風潮的濫觴大作
